I’m gonna get this horse. It is fully trained, but since i am a bit young & this is my first horse (though i am a experienced rider) my parents, & the owner say she needs a little training.

i know tht you have to pay for the barn (boarding) and the feeding plus they grooming. but i dont really know how much everything can cost. Does anyone know how much per year or mounth?

I have been thinking of getting my own horse. What kind of expenses will I have to pay for him or her and how much? I know the basics of food/vet/boarding how much would food and a vet cost me? I know boarding is going to depend on where I bord him or her.

I wouldn’t be using the horse for show or anything like that. Just for riding and a great companion. I’ve had a love for horses all my life, and it may be a few years yet before I can afford the space and property needed. I live in Ontario Canada. Thanks for all answers!

Id like all approximate prices for items needed to properly care and own a horse to be listed. Even for the smallest of things. I live in a small city in the suburbs. So I want a recommendation of states and/or towns that are of good horse owning quality. The cost of a house, land, stables, fencing, food, the actual horse, tack, vet bill and etc. It would just be a riding horse for fun and company. I want to be a vet so could I treat my own horse or no?

My sister wants a horse. How much does a horse cost? With that being asked, how much in additionnal costs, such as being kept in a stables, saddles, food, people taking care of it, how much does that cost a MONTH on average?

The only stuff I have is tack and brushes. I would need a one stall either run-in or barn (no plumbing or electricity) for a 14.2-15 hand horse. How much do feed,hay,and sawdust cost monthly? I know I would need vet and farrier bills to but other than that what else will I need and how much will it cost?

Ive always loved horses and would like to have my own one day. I have a career that pays between 58k-80k a year. I am planning on living in New Hampshire and have my own barn with plenty of acreage. I would like to know how much it would cost per month or per year to own a horse on your own property. Please include cost of hay and all that stuff

me and my uncle are thinking about buying a couple of horses. The adoption fee is $250 each. We don’t need to board them because we have a place to keep them and a pasture. We have all the necessary tack and riding clothes. So if boarding, lessons, tack, adoption fee, and riding gear is not included in the expenses, then what would be the cost of owning a horse?

I am currently taking horseback riding lessons but seeing horses once a week is not enough for me! I love everything about horses…even taking care of them/cleaning up after them! My parents are convinced that owning a horse is SUPER expensive. When I know its costly but I dont think its as expensive as they think. I’d like to show them some factual print out to maybe change their minds.
