Right now I get a 10% commission when a horse sells. I train the horses prior to them being shown for sale but there are way too many horses to keep up with and nothing is selling. I am going to start charging per ride but I don’t know how much. I’m young (18) and just starting out but I can ride better than most. The horses are mostly young green thoroughbreds.

I’m gonna get this horse. It is fully trained, but since i am a bit young & this is my first horse (though i am a experienced rider) my parents, & the owner say she needs a little training.

i know tht you have to pay for the barn (boarding) and the feeding plus they grooming. but i dont really know how much everything can cost. Does anyone know how much per year or mounth?
Thanks for the help …

Include all costs such as vet fees, shoes and food to total. Just trying to figure out if it will be something manageable in the near future. Thank you!
I wouldn’t be using the horse for show or anything like that. Just for riding and a great companion. I’ve had a love for horses all my life, and it may be a few years yet before I can afford the space and property needed. I live in Ontario Canada. Thanks for all answers! :)

Id like all approximate prices for items needed to properly care and own a horse to be listed. Even for the smallest of things. I live in a small city in the suburbs. So I want a recommendation of states and/or towns that are of good horse owning quality. The cost of a house, land, stables, fencing, food, the actual horse, tack, vet bill and etc. It would just be a riding horse for fun and company. I want to be a vet so could I treat my own horse or no?

If u own a horse, How much is the monthly cost including vet bills, shoeing, boarding, feed( unless feed comes with boarding) and medications like wormers. thanx for all your help!!!!!!!!!
i already have all the tack and grooming supplies also
haha yea i lease a horse right now and i give him his wormers myself

I live on a 15 acre farm so i would be owning him on my land. I just need to know how much feed, farrier, etc. would cost. All answers will be appreciated.

My sister wants a horse. How much does a horse cost? With that being asked, how much in additionnal costs, such as being kept in a stables, saddles, food, people taking care of it, how much does that cost a MONTH on average?

The only stuff I have is tack and brushes. I would need a one stall either run-in or barn (no plumbing or electricity) for a 14.2-15 hand horse. How much do feed, hay, and sawdust cost monthly? I know I would need vet and farrier bills to but other than that what else will I need and how much will it cost?
Thanks!!

I have a saddle with a blanket, english bridle, western bridle and two hoof protectors. They have only been used a little bit and I was wondering how much a good guess would be on how much they would cost.

how much does it cost to do horse jumping? in western new york and traveling?
Im a beginner and im talking about lessons and competing.

I am trying to convince my parents that we can own a horse but I need to find out more information such as vet bills and farrier bills. I appreciate any information about buying or owning a horse. Thanks!
I have found board for $425 a month which includes hay, grain and the deworming every 8 weeks. I was also wondering what the average lease is going for? I figured that would lower the price per month. Thanks for the help!!

have always ridden other peoples horses and in lessons, but I have never OWNED my own horse. Now I have the chance. Boarding is $190.00 a month for everything, i keep hearing about vet and farrier fees. How often does the horse need to be seen by a vet, and what does a farrier do? I’d also like to know, how often do these people have to visit the horse and how much do they usually cost? Are these monthly visits that have to happen? Thanks.
